Folded leaflet or brochure: which do you need?
A folded leaflet consists of one folded sheet. Spread your message across its panels, perhaps with an introduction on the cover and more detail inside. A brochure has several pages and more space for information, photos or a product range. Start by deciding how much content to include.
Check the finished size and fold type
For folded leaflets, choose the finished size after folding. Depending on the size, options include a single fold, roll fold or concertina fold. Account for the panel order in your design and keep text away from each fold.
Find the right specifications and price
Select paper and finishing to suit the purpose. A handout may need a different finish from a presentation someone will keep. Is the leaflet size the flat or folded size?
“Finished size” means the folded size. When designing, also check the flat size and fold type so the panels appear in the right place.
